Greetings Mommies-To-Be and Parents of Infants and Toddlers!

Hello. I am so excited to be writing my first post at my new blog Beyond Baby Talk! I am sitting in a hotel room in San Antonio, Texas as I write this. I just atttended an absolutely life changing seminar called Family EBiz Expo. I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning how to run an online business. They are the reason I am writing this blog! Now, let’s get to the meat and potatoes of this blog…

I am a master’s level speech-language pathologist who is extremely passionate about the speech and language development of children. I am a wife to a great man named David and mother of an absolutely wonderful little girl named Grace. She just turned two last week. I have been away from her now for 3 days . I have never been away from her this long and miss her terribly. David and I talked to her yesterday on the phone and I couldn’t believe how much she sounded like a little girl now and not a baby learning how to talk; I almost cried.

The journey of language development in a child, particularly your own child, is truly a magical one and not fully understood by even the most schooled language specialists. But there are things we can do as parents to bring that beautiful baby talk to it’s fullest potential. And that’s why I am writing this blog.

I want to share with you my professional and personal experiences about language development and help your little one become the best communicator he or she can be. And here’s the really cool thing for you to remember: as you help enhance your child’s speech and language development you are actually helping their brain grow all those connections they need that lay the foundation for future learning!

So, I look forward to sharing with you soon and I gotta get going because I here the Riverwalk just a few miles from my hotel calling my name saying, “Jill, come shopping!” Talk to you soon.
